Christening our new sledge!!

For a joint Christmas present and family heirloom, we decided to get the kids a new wooden sledge!

It is soooo cold today but the need to try out our new sledge was more important than warmth!!!

We were out all of half an hour (5 mins before Georgia started to cry about being cold!!)

We had a really good snowball fight with Julia, becca, Alaric then it started to get dark so we made our way back!

We all had a go on the new sledge though!!

Fabulous weekend!

We have just had a lovely restful weekend where we were pampered and looked after by my lovely friend shan! I love going to shan's! Not only is she one of my closest friends who I love dearly, she always puts lovely little touches like a small bar of cath kidston soap on the very inviting bath towels and molten brown shower gel etc!

Shan has just has the most exquisite extension done but I can't put a photo on because it is her private space for special people only!!!! But suffice to say I am green with envy!!!!

We went to a fab garden centre too that had a soft play area, craft shops, fish and the most enormous Santa I have ever seen!!!

Patching farm Christmas fair

Today I have had a lovely day with my lovely friends Tracy and Rachel (despite feeling ver tired with a headache!!)

We went to the Christmas fair at Patchings Farm, there was some really lovely handmade stuff but the only thing we came out with was a wheat filled lavender smelling teddy for Georgia and some little Santa clip on earrings!!

I could have spent a fortune but was very restrained(only because it meant I had to write a cheque out each time I wanted to spend something!! Cash would have dripped through my fingers!!!!)

Seeing my friend shan for the weekend and I can't wait!! I always have a good time with her!!

As I sit writing this after an end of week and can't be bothered to cook trip to macdonalds, Felix has just handed me a little note!!

Who says you can't buy love!!!!! ;)

Introducing the lovely Oscar!!

Or Ozzie or he may be known!!

He is gorgeous!! He is my mum and John's 11 week old puppy that they picked up today!!

He and Felix will be great friends I think!! Oscar waged his tail when Felix went near him!!

Georgia on the other hand will need a little more bonding!!

But it is safe to say he has some very besotted parents!!!

Scrapping sisters!!

Last night I has a few buddies round for a crafty night! Haven't done any scrapping for sooo long of my own stuff! Only seem to manage to scrap layouts that I am teaching at mo, so it was really nice to get 5 of my own done!!

This photo was taken at a friends wedding in 2008 and I really like this photo of Georgia and her daddy!!

This is of my two peas in a pod at conkers in the summer!!

This is me at conkers! I love this colour! It is my absolute favourite!

This is a really old photo of Felix and I at a Morgan event! It wasn't until I saw this photo that I realised we both had matching jumpers!!!!!

Again my two little peas! I love this paper but it challenged me to use it!!!!!

I was quite impressed as I think I managed to out scrap Sally who is the faster scrapper in the west!!!! (well east actually!!!!)

Thank you to Lisa, Sally and Debs for being my scrappy sisters for the night........ It was just what the doctor ordered (and chris was pleased as he got the TV to himself for the night!!!)

Next time the rest of you need to join us!! X

They colour my world!!

So I have a lovely expensive set of bath products-The colour therapy range from philosophy which I adore so much that I have never used them!!

Anyway I decided that rather than throw them out because o have never used them in a clear out, I would let the children benefit and choose which colour they would like in their baths! Every bath Felix always chooses a different colour to enhance his bathing experience!!

However despite the joy of having loads of different colours to choose from, when it comes to Georgia's turn to have her bath, she always chooses the same colour!!!...............................

The Graveyard Shift!!

We always dreaded the graveyard shift at uni!! The last lesson on the last day of the week!!

I have got the swimming graveyard shift for the next year!!!!

Swimming used to be great!! Chris took felix on a sat am...... I got a lie in!!!! Fabulous!!........... Then we had two children's lessons to contend with!!! The only way i could do it was to get them lessons on the same day! Unfortunately Georgia has the very first lesson and Felix has the very last!!!! We spend a lot of time playing dot to dot on the iphone! Of course i found an app for that!!!!!!! I no longer have that TGIF feeling!!!!!!

Serious multi tasking!!

I never really understood what serious multi-tasking was until I became a mother!!

This photo is such a great demonstration of it!! Cooking dinner with a tired and whiny little girl in my arms whilst supervising Felix playing on the wii in an effort to make sure my belongings weren't swept to the floor!!
Phew........... And that was all before i went out to work on monday night!!

Nottingham scrapbooking crop Update

There have been some changes to the crop and I am no longer running it!

However it has been taken over by Simon and Annie who ran Crafters Dreams in Beeston, below is a message from them regarding the next crop!!

"its the first Sunday in December which i think is 5th December.

pass the word on if you can and i will post details on our facebook page and website asap.

we will use the Sea Scout Hut on Lilac Grove , Beeston Rylands for a 5 hour crop and or workshop and its a good chance for us all to meet.

it has loads of parking but i admit not brilliant for public transport but it IS on the Barton no. 18 bus route.

its roomy and warm with pvc sealed new windows and good heating!! tea/coffee making room and good clean toilets too.

our website is now at www.papercraftandbeading.wordpress.com

and we are on facebook as Crafters Dream (business)

many thanks!!

Prototypes!!

My very lovely friend Tracy has asked me to help her come up with an invitation for her 10th wedding anniversary party!

After lots of thinking about it, I spotted an idea which was a cake baked in a baked bean tin! What a fab idea! Tin is the anniversary thing for ten years and Tracy really wanted to incorporate it somehow!

So this is what I have come up with!! What do you think??

It has the invitation printed on the inside of the wrapper and is stamped with my lovely stampin' up stamps! It will of course be full of cake......... and if she likes it I have to make 30 (she has loads of friends!!!!) Luckily she has been saving tins or my kids would be very fed up with beans by Christmas!!!!

Mini master chef!

- so felix and I have joined cooking club at school and this is what we made today using a basic scone recipe!! Apart from us both wearing most if the flour we think we did a good job!!

Maybe felix will change his life ambition again to a chef this time!!

Originally he wanted to become ice cream van man...... Which I was ok with (once he had been to uni, got his business degree, set up a rival to ben and Gerry's and got himself in a financial position to keep me in the manner that I plan to become accustomed to!!!!)
But then he said he didn't want a job, he would just stay at home!!

I did my parentally duty and rather than inform him of the welfare system in our country, I politely explain that wasn't an option as he would starve!!!!

However, I now reckon Gordon Ramsey should watch his back, especially after I have had toast made for my breakfast twice this week!!!! Result!!

Yessssssssssss! I did it!

Now let me share with you how proud I was of my 8 year old boy on Monday morning! This is a boy who when he gets himself a drink normally floods the kitchen!

I came downstairs to find this plate of toast for me with a glass of ribena! But not only that, he had made Georgia (my 3 year old) the same and put the marg and jam away!! Result!!!

At last........ All that hassling, nagging and general hair pulling (mine that is- not his!!) has all been worth it! Phew!!

Re-energise!

I am starting a new blog with the hope that I might re-energise myself with new ideas of creativity and have more fun blogging!

I was hopeless at my other blog, I haven't blogged since the summer, but I decided that this would be my personal blog to keep everyone up to date with the daily goings on of my life!
