Cupcake Heaven!!!

On Sunday I taught my first Stampin' up! Class!! It went really well!

We made a gift box for 4 cupcakes, made 4 cupcake wraps and decorated the cakes to go in the box with rice paper toppers using the flights of the butterfly stamp set and punch!!

I think everyone was really happy with what they had made!! And what a lovely bunch of people came!!

My next class is on 3rd july if you fancy joining in some fun!!

The best bits of our trip!!

So the reason we went to Philly was for my cousin Dan's wedding!

Thankfully for the Friday (day of wedding) the temp got cooler and more bearable!

On Thursday i helped finish the flowers for the pews, which despite being shown by the most talented how to fo them looked a little feral in comparison!!

we had been invited to the grooms meal which was in this great restaurant where the waiters randomly burst into opera!!

We had cocktails and were a tad tipsy!!!

Friday was a beautiful day, Wendy and I went off to decorate the reception which was lovely after all Wendy's hard work!

The service was lovely, done by my uncle Alan who is the vicar!

He did comment on the amount of times that me and the kids started to say prayers........with "oh my god!!!!!!!!!!". Opps!!!!

The bride was beautiful!

This is Miriam and her father

I was the only one wearing a fascinator because the Americans don't do them or hats!!

We had a lovely time dancing the evening away and celebrating with the happy couple!! Although the English in comparison are rather more restrained!

But finally the results of the groom cake which Daniel loved, as did the Brits to be tucking into the fruit cake!!

The following day we went to love park and took pictures! There is so much public art in Philadelphia, instead of graffiti everyone does wall murals that artists don't graffiti over!!

We had an amazing time and Wendy and Alan were so lovely and hospitable! I think they were glad of the rest when we left though!!! We are a noisy bunch!!

Thank you Wendy and Alan! X

A fine day out!!

Today we went and explored Philadelphia!

We found Krispy Kreme on our way to the Franklin Institute aNd popped in for a donut!!

Did you know that it is National Donut Day on friday???

We then saw the LOVE statue in love park where we dipped our feet in the fountain before we got told off by the park warden!!! Our feet were nice and cool by then though!! The weather is so hot! 93 degrees today! Even the Americans are saying it is hotter than normal!

We then saw a heat dissection at the Franklin institue where we pretty much spent all day!!

We also went to see a 3d film there too!!

Before having a corn dog on the way home!!!
