Phew!! Christmas is over, but what a fab time!!

Wow, what a build up to Christmas, I can't believe it is all over and we are making our way back on the M1 to our lovely home!

It all started on Christmas eve where we had brunch and presents at mums before a trip to the panto (oh no you didn't, I hear you cry!!!!)



We then returned home late to put the reindeer food out and whisky and a orange for Santa before bed!




We woke up to find he had been and left lots of presents!!






We then set off to pat and colins for Christmas lunch and a few days stay!!



We also caught up with ANDY,Ana and mya as well as anas mum dad and sister









We manage to catch up with some good friends too!!

All in all we had a lovely time being well fed and looked after by pat and Colin! Thank you as ever for spoiling us!! x

Snow day

So the last day of term turned into a snow day due to schools frozen pipes! To celebrate the kids and I met some friends at weatherspoons for brekkie!! We all had pancakes and maple syrup!! Yum yum!!

We then came home and after lots of encouragement felix finally tidied and hoovered his bedroom for Santa!



He was impressed though!!!!

To round off our day, rachel had a christmas party at her house, where the kids all dressed up and played party games!!

Bed fordshire!!!

Today started with a small hangover and not much sleep!!

Pizza hut lunch was just what the hangover dr prescribed!! We had our Christmas lunch there with my dad and Judy, Hannah and dan! Had nice time and when we left had a little time to do present delivering before we were due to go to my friend Sarah's birthday party! However on the way we seemed to hit a tiredness level! The kids were whiny and arguing, my patience was low with a sore throat and Chris just felt ill, so we didn't make it! Sorry Sarah....will make it up to you!!!!

Just time now for nice relaxing bath and bed!!!

40 is the new 30!!

Oh what a lovely night!! I went to my friend Fiona's 40th birthday party and she looked amazing!! That's why 40 is the new 30!! There is no way she looks a day over 40!! More like 30!!!

My other friend Fiona was also there with her new man Steve who is lovely and is is so nice to see Fiona blissfully happy! She so deserves it as she too is a wonderful amazingly beautiful person!!




So as Chris didn't feel up to coming I went on my own!

The poor kids were got out of their beds to come and get me so we treated them to a happy meal on the way home!! I cannot tell you how exciting it was to have a mcdonalds in the 'middle of the night'!!!!!
Ooooo..... we lead such an exciting life!!!!!

Hair cut fest!!

Today we have all had hair cuts!! It is brilliant! Our hairdresser comes round to our house, we all have our hair cut (+ coloured in my case) in turn then are able to go off and do our own thing!! I love it because getting childcare for the length of time my cut and colour takes is hard! But she puts the colour on, cuts the others hair whilst I am waiting then cuts and blow dry and straightens my hair!!

All for a very reasonable £58!!!!!




Last night my dad babysat whilst chris and I went to 'just the tonic' christmas show! It was very funny! Saw Sarah Millican who was good as were the other three comics but can't remember their names!!

Was spoilt slightly by some drunk girls a few rows back who talked loudly through it until they where physically thrown out making a very nosy and off putting for the comedian exit!!!

Off to my friend fiona 40th birthday party tonight (good job I had my hair done today!!!) whilst my other lovely friend Sally babysits (despite me double booking myself for her baby-sitting night last week! Note to self!.... Must make it up to her!!!)

So all busy busy busy! Can't wait for Christmas to put my feet up and relax!!!!!

Goggle eyed monster!!!!!

Ha ha!! Tiggy was funny tonight whilst I was making dinner! She shouted 'mum....look at me!'. I turned round and this is what I saw!






The other really exciting news that i am now allowed to tell everyone is that i am going to be an auntie again! This time it is my sister Hannah who is pregnant!

So will I have a niece or a nephew???

The baby is due in may, so watch this space!!!

Horrible mummy!!

I haven't been a good mummy today! Patience has been at an all time low! The day started off badly when I over slept, but my tiredness level didn't seem to recover as I have been a bit 'shouty' today!!

Note to self! Have an early night to recover!!!

But on the plus side I did finish my assignment and presentation on professionalism for uni which means I don't have to do it during the Christmas hols!!!!

I also started an angel course on abundance! It involves lots of affirmations so if you see me and I am talking to myself- I am probably affirming my levels of abundance!!!

Pink is Hot........ Or not!!!!!

I figured that putting the Christmas tree up is always such hard work only to take it back down again a few weeks later!! Bah humbug! I hear you cry!!

Yeah so did the kids! So whilst out shopping they spotted a small PINK one and they loved it!!! Chavvy I thought!! You don't have pink Christmas trees!!!!!!!!

However, pester power and a half price sale making it £3.50 persuaded me to buy it!!




Besides I though for that price I can ditch it after crimbo!!

So today the kids have decorated it!
















And here is the finished product! And you know what? I actually quite like it now! It is kinda sweet and charming in it's own little way!!

Hooray! A swimming break!

God........swimming lessons on a friday night are a drag! But we get a reprieve until jan now!! Hooray!

Felix is brilliant at swimming, Tigs is a little more reserved but getting there!!






However it could be a whole lot worse!! At least i don't have to actually go in the water myself!!!

Fencing!

Felix has started fencing lessons and absolutely loves it! He is exhilarated after it and full of beans!



So Thursday night currently consists of Tiggy in bed at home being looked after by Chris and me sitting in a cold sports hall with my laptop catching up on work! Now I know how my dad felt on sat mornings watching me and Hannah attempting to learn to ice skate!!!



The smaller person is Felix!! The instructor seems to think he has good 'physical intelligence' which is excellent for the ability to fence! All in all the activity which as an aggressive element combined with structure, chivalry and discipline is perfect for him!!!!!!

Gleeking!

The Glee app has made bathing the kids so much more fun!!

They sing at the top of their voices to twinkle twinkle little star and it records their beautiful little voices!!

Welly Love!!

These wellies have really seen some action this week!
They have been worth their weight in gold!! They have made their cost per wear value very reasonable indeed!



They are from Cath Kidston and were a birthday present from my best friend!!

I absolutely adore them!!!! And will wear them til there is snow (or ice!) no more!!!!

Megamind!!

Today we decided a trip to the cinema was in order! The kids gave been itching to see megamind and to reward good behaviour this week....... Off we went.
We love the local independent cinema which has double seats!! The kids where so excited to share a 'sofa at the cinema!!!

We took our own sweets...popping candy and other ones left over from Felix's party and saved for Christmas with us!







We had a great time until 30 mins from the end when Tigs got bored and got up to wonder up and down the aisle whilst trying out other seats!!

Luckily it wasn't too busy and those that were there either had kids or were kids!!!!

We came home via Asda where we bumped into Felix's old head teacher and then watched the final merlin! We love that programme!!!!

Snow day scrapbooking!!

Amazingly with two children in the house I managed to do a layout today!! It is our third snow day, although in reality it is - 4.5 and icy!!




My friend Bindie sent me the circle on a card. It is all about things that make you happy! I have added a photo of coffee and donuts at Tim Hortons in Prince Edward Island, Canada because it reminds me of a place i feel at home and at peace! I think maybe because i was here at a time that was influential in my life! Where I went a teenager and gained my independence to become a young woman! I love it there! The laid backness, the friendliness, the general pace of life and of course my godfather!!

My little cinders and the snow day!

So another snow day for the mini Harris-marsh's and therefore by default ... Me!!!

Georgia's day was made when we opened a bag given to us yesterday by Sarah!

Omg! She was soooo pleased!!

But alas ........ The shoe did not fit! My prince charming did not arrive!





Well not until alot later this evening when he rolled through the door after a difficult snow journey home!!!!!

We spent today having a snowball fight until it all ended in tears when Felix slid off the climbing frame!!

So inside for hot chocolate and Mary Poppins!!




Once we all has serious cabin fever we headed out to mums to see the very cute and bouncy Oscar!!




As you can see he is a bit too bouncy at mo for F and G who took refuge on the sofa where he can't reach yet!!! Then ..............................….......home to bed!!!!

Peace at last!!!!

Opening the advent calendars!

It's a snow day! College and school closed!! Children very pleased! Snow man making later!!!

First day to open the advent calendars! Georgia not quite got the hang of it as she opened five doors before I realised!! Very excited at the prospect of chocolate behind each door!! Thank you granny for the calendars!!

Christening our new sledge!!

For a joint Christmas present and family heirloom, we decided to get the kids a new wooden sledge!





It is soooo cold today but the need to try out our new sledge was more important than warmth!!!



We were out all of half an hour (5 mins before Georgia started to cry about being cold!!)



We had a really good snowball fight with Julia, becca, Alaric then it started to get dark so we made our way back!



We all had a go on the new sledge though!!

Fabulous weekend!

We have just had a lovely restful weekend where we were pampered and looked after by my lovely friend shan! I love going to shan's! Not only is she one of my closest friends who I love dearly, she always puts lovely little touches like a small bar of cath kidston soap on the very inviting bath towels and molten brown shower gel etc!

Shan has just has the most exquisite extension done but I can't put a photo on because it is her private space for special people only!!!! But suffice to say I am green with envy!!!!






We went to a fab garden centre too that had a soft play area, craft shops, fish and the most enormous Santa I have ever seen!!!
